Saw it on Disney plus. Honestly. The movie is fine for the first half. Nothing great but it was fine.

then the second half happened and its very clear this movie got cut 30 minutes of subplots and had heavy rewrites where they have like multiple establishing act 1 type of stuff happening 5 minutes to the end. M

there is a decent 2000s superhero movie there. Like it would have been like daredevil level of quality, or fantastic 4. Not great, but not honestly horrible.

As someone who would place Morbius in their top 5 Marvel movies since Iron Man, I agree with a lot of this statement. Especially the part about being a 2000s superhero movie. That's part of the charm for me. I could totally see Morbius being a double feature with Ghost Rider or something.

And the first half being better. I thought the part where he becomes the Living Vampire and fucks up all the mercenaries on the boat was great.

Also, here's a fun fact: The boat he's on. In the the film, it's named the Murnau. That's the name of the director who directed the original Nosferatu. Caught that on my second viewing :)
