Something to note is the Arcane scaling on any weapon will not increase physical damage at all. So in the case of the Saw Spear, yes it does have a D in Arcane scaling, but it will gain nothing from that unless you slot in a Fire/Bolt/Arcane gem to the weapon. Which you have no access to until you beat a certain boss a little ways in.

So basically your Arcane stat is almost entirely useless right now, sorry... I suggest focusing on health and skill from now on. That 20 Arcane will still help later on in the game at least.
