There's just like, no real sense of progression. You could play for hours and not be any closer than if you played for a minute. It's not like a logic puzzle, or a shapes puzzle, or a sequential puzzle. There's nothing central where you can try stuff, see if you're off or not, understand more, get better. It seriously seems like you just don't get it.
You make progression almost everyday. You can put down new rooms, or new room combos, and at the very least get access to new information. Go to the library every day and read a new book every other. Information is a serious resource. You need information to open safes which gives you lore about the story. The game pretty much explicitly tells you how to open the antechamber in some messages.
It's not meant to be a linear puzzle game. The complaints about rng are one thing, but lack of puzzles seems like a lack of curiosity.
