Yeah Jun Maeda being the front guy for the entire game is usually plastered everywhere, but it also feels like VN fans look down on gachas, so it's a hard ask. It's also published by Yostar in global rather than Key/Wright like it is in Japan, so it's also possible they just don't have the same amount of freedom.

I honestly think Yostar is doing a good job in terms of the game management. They might ramp up the ads when Angel Beats collab happens. But in terms of marketing, I don't even see it that much on my recs when HBR fits all the usual games I play. That's really worrying cuz I still see GFL2 or E7 on my playstore after I dl'd it and played it a bunch

For things that I need to praise Yostar about outside of the excellent localization and hiring JAST is stuff like 150 pity rather than 200 in JP, or early QoL changes. They also downgraded the thresholds needed for a bunch of challenge modes, which made it possible for F2P guys like myself (well I paid the monthly but I haven't actually used those gems yet lmao, but I bought it out of love) to actually beat some of them
