Never noticed and I played SA on PS2 and PS3 as a PS2 Classic I call bullshit on both especially the character models because everyone noticed how bad the character models especially in San Andreas were and likely still are. Ryder has these weird elongated arms in the "definitive" edition and other character models look horrible. The mobile ports are trash,period. And there's no way you don't notice the difference in the gym mechanics in San Andreas if you played the original PS2 version --- I believe in Joe Hendry!!
