as a fan of the game, after some further thought, I don't think the first episode grabbed me yet, and I'm not really feeling the changes.

I preferred how the game introduced Abby since it added some mystery around her character, but I understand why they had us know her background early on, so I don't fault them too much for this.

but as far as Joel killing Eugene, I didn't like that change - maybe it was so he'd be more open to telling the therapist about what he did to the Fireflies later on after she revealed how she felt, but unless if they do something meaningful with this, I think it was better for him just to tell Tommy like he did originally.
