Tariffs is a Trump thing though so it was something he would do regardless of its presence there. Aside from implementing them in his first term (but at much lower levels because there were still advisors around him that talked him down a lot) tariffs and America being "ripped off" has been a thing of his since the 80s as I mentioned before. He's been calling for this forever and alongside his racism is one of those things he really has carried with him through the decades so it wasn't something that he could really be distracted from. --- May you find your book in this place.
