Poke Balls are planned obsolescence. Silph Co. strategically ships their worst product to the towns neighboring where starting trainers live. This way trainers are forced to purchase their highest profit margin items and think they're getting a deal when they eventually purchase ultra balls at an inflated price. Poke Balls have been made out of apricorn for centuries. They literally grow on trees. Yet we're shelling out thousands of pokedollars for something worse than what an old guy in Azalea Town can carve in his free time in his backyard. They could release Master Balls to us right now but they deliberately hoard them and hand them out to their cronies.
