Topic | What's the longest you've gone without a dentist? |
Jupiter 03/18/25 10:48:59 AM #23: | 11 years. It started with my senior year of high school. I was supposed to get a few cavities filled in, but my mom never took me back (think it was a money issue). And then first years of college, I just didn't go because of money. Then towards my last few years in college, my mom got dental insurance again and told me that I should go since now's the time, but I was too scared to go fearing costs (I already had trouble paying rent and tuition). And then young adult life, still poor and chose to be uninsured to take as small a hit to my paychecks as possible. It wasn't until my late 20s where I got a better job and finally decided I'm not poor anymore and I can afford the dentist. The dentist and hygienist were very surprised at how well my teeth looked to go 11 years without a cleaning. There was some irreversible gum damage though (the bottom are a little more exposed than normal, but it's not really noticeable). Teeth look great though. I've been going 3-4 times a year for the past 3 or 4 years now. --- Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/kid_prodigy23 ... Copied to Clipboard! |
