dotsdfe 03/16/25 9:23:54 PM #3: | From what I'm seeing, it's a low-budget contract job where you have to fight for hours. I can't speak for specifics, but I worked for a tutoring company along those lines a while back. My experience with that was like: You'd be able to get on the schedule on a weekly basis to get hours. If you were newer, you'd go last, and there'd be almost nothing available. Maybe some graveyard shift hours at best. When you were scheduled, you'd get paid for your time no matter what, albeit at half pay while idle. If you signed on off-schedule, you could still get paid, but you wouldn't get anything while idle and I believe you were in a lower priority grouping, so scheduled tutors would get first dibs on everything. No benefits at all. The pay was absolute garbage. The contract was pretty shitty and lopsided. When COVID hit, people just stopped showing up, to the point where I was getting maybe a session per month at most. A few months into that, they ended my contract without anything I could do about it. At best, a position like that is a side hustle to supplement something else, but as a primary source of income, I'd steer well clear of them. I'm getting very similar vibes from Nexrep after reading some reviews of it, and I'd probably be wary if I were you. --- https://www.youtube.com/user/dotsdfe I make Fire Emblem videos. Sometimes. ...
