Topic	Is there really a great way to explain gaps in employment history?

It just seems like a good one. It's what I have used in the past to explain a three year employment gap. You took time out of your life to help a loved one in need. It's an indicator of strong character and devotion so it leaves you looking like a good person. It's not the sort of explanation that they are likely to want a contact for verification.
