I liked the episode. They're doing a lot of setup, but I guess I can see where people would lose interest because speculating about the mystery is sometimes more fun than solving the mystery if the answers aren't what you're looking for.

This seems like a reasonable explanation for me. I thought tonight's episode was pretty solid, especially compared to last week's, but some plot directions seems like a confusing use of screen time and/or exposition.

Specifically everything between Burt and Irving and everything with Dylan. Was that really a face turn from Outtie Burt? And do we have any justification beyond some hints towards regrets he had about his non severed Lumon work?

And is milkshake on the verge of a face turn as well? I understand that the whole Lumon thing is very culty, but if that's the case then where are there actual devotees? Cobel, Milkshake, Burt and even Miss Huang are all going to become disillusioned with their CorpoCult overlords? Are there going to be any proper villains?

But next week is 75 minutes long so that's a ton of time for shit to go down.
