I didn't mind the casting and the story was miles better than the previous live action ones that never followed any of the games and the main character was a original character made specifically for the movies which is dumb. Thing is, the Alice movies never claimed they were faithful to the games, so as awful as they were I'll give them some respect because they didn't outright lie to people.
