Apparently you think Deadpool was trying to say "the MCU sucks innit" but thats not at all what it was trying to say. And no, calling out self aware jokes in comparison to self aware jokes is more than fair game. At the end of ant man, Scott muses about how this villain will definitely not ever appear again and won't be a bigger threat, its a gag that wouldn't be our of place at all in Deadpool. Snd that's far from the only one. I don't think Deadpool was trying to say "the MCU is shit." I do think it was making fun of the MCU a lot (which it was), and pointing out the absurdity of a lot of it. Ergo, it was a fun comedy and didn't try to be more than that. Im saying you criticisms are arbitrary and inconsistent. Ironically, scorcese blanketly disregarding them is pretty consistent but then he aped the joker movies too so idk Please tell us what movie Scorcese "aped the Joker films" with. I would love to hear this one.
