As someone who has been consistently doing yoga for ten years, I really want to dispel this idea that it's a good place to meet women.

I mostly think this is right. Exercise classes are mostly solo activities in practice. They're still great because they're fun and healthy, but it's not inherently social. At best you'll get a date through sheer luck and exposure.

But some exercise like dance, climbing, parkour, running groups are much more social. People intentionally do those to be social and will talk or date anyone in there.
