I go through about 3 dozen by myself a week. But I'm fine with the prices. I mean sure I will always enjoy cheaper but I live in the #1 egg producing state in the US. Even if you buy from the grocery store you can still get real farm fresh eggs of varying color/size from small family farms that pasture raise them for $4 a dozen. It's still a really good value food for how nutritious, filling, and plain delicious they are. If you buy from a farmer it will be cheaper, and sometimes you may have neighbors or friends who have so many they give them to you. It's not uncommon where I live. Heavy farm country. Hell my whole state is.
