I think that while he started out taking his time on the project the constant barrage of negativity has made him completely apathetic to it. Think about it. If every time you checked online you saw a skew of comments like get off your fat lazy ass and finish the books before you die how eager would you be to deliver? If he published the next book today its not like anyone would be grateful. So why bother at this point?
