He made a contract with the publisher. People acting like GRR Martin is breaking a contract with them personally is absurd. Did people pay a subscription fee for the rest of his novels?

Disappointed is one thing, that's a natural feeling to have after not getting the thing you wanted to have. Maybe even a little annoyed that he said stuff he was not honest about. But being actually angry and entitled about it like he owes you something is ridiculous.
