To be fair, with the exception of certain spiders, the majority of people in Australia would not come across most of our deadly wildlife, other than seeing them in a zoo/wildlife park.

I myself have only seen one live snake outside of a zoo. It was slithering across a highway I was driving one day. Every other snake Ive seen has been dead on the road, or sometimes I hear about snakes in other peoples yards rarely but Ive never seen one in my yard
