Topic	Will we ever live in a Star Trek-esque future?

Didn't we already go past some of the history? I thought there was stuff going on in the 90s in star trek past. That obviously never happened to us. If star trek is still a thing in the 2060s, they will for sure rewrite the dates for all the future events The Eugenics wars (when Khan and other superhumans took over large portions of the planet) were originally said to have happened in the 1990s in TOS.
