I hate to say it, but I agree with their choice from a purely aesthetics standpoint - the beautiful sprawling majesty of BotW's Hyrule did not benefit from the addition of giant oozing holes in the ground and a bunch of random shit floating in the sky. I can see where they were coming from with saying the sky looked too cluttered, I just wonder how they could do it without just making the sky islands a separately-loaded map like Skyward Sword again.
