| battourye 12/06/24 11:45:03 PM #26: | Dark Planet: Battle for Natrolis A bad version of Starcraft ultimately, but it was really fascinating to the child me who managed to get the demo off of GameSpot back before Steam was a thing. You had three factions: human colonists (Terrans), swarm bug aliens that were sleeping (Zerg), and warrior lizard aliens (Protoss). The entire summary on wikipedia of the game reads as such: "Dark Planet: Battle for Natrolis is a real-time strategy game." I cannot get it to play on my computer now, but I remembered it having some interesting resource mechanics like some factions really preferring one resource over the other, possibly to the point of one faction not even using a resource. It's been a while and I remember it very poorly, but I do believe I'm the only one I've ever met who has any memory of it at all. Honorable Mention: The answer would have been Genesis Rising until MandaloreGaming covered it, thus ruining it for consideration. --- Fools think there are good and bad guys in intl. relations.-Terran Currently Listening To: Ondore's Lies ...
