Curvature of the Blitzball field makes questions of Ray. Very good arsenal for field he has no clearance in. With armor shredding from fighter like Aigis or Tusk that is very fast the gap is closed too quick.

But this match is underwater. He need do little but distract the other caster while Tidus carves away - massive size will do. I give other team better performance overall because Garrus, Monika are heavily downgraded, but the other two being so amphibious is such massive advantage I do not believe that matters. Haste + Scan + Final Fantasy Sword/Sorcery that sounds good enough with field type advantage.

Tusk is likely best fighter given the conditions given his origin and flexibility. I see other team's winning strategy where the other three use their athletics and projectiles to distract while he cleaves through other team. Aigis is waterproof but not sure how effective she will be in Blitzball pool. Alucard is very good but casting time is put to question. Richter is about as good as Sonic in this environment. Which is not.

How well can both teams' casting be done underwater?
Can Garrus do anything with field in his extra time? Can "borrow" weapons from rest of his team? Because borrowing from Ray and then scattering bombs everywhere before match - second winning strategy. Aigis knowing his location matters little when he can constrict team movement before match begins.
