Im just going to say this, 100% of the cases of homelessness are unfortunate. Also, the vast majority of homeless people are totally benign and dont deserve to be viewed negatively.

That said, there is definitely a not insignificant amount of them who menace society in different ways who have their behaviour hand waved away way too flippantly. I expect this is often from people who are never forced to have any interaction with homeless people at all. I have had the displeasure of working in an area has me deal with homeless people regularly and dealing with the regular vandalism, harassment, aggression, fires, filth, theft, discarded needles, etc. is very upsetting. I feel sorry for all homeless people but Im not going to lie and say that I think this behavior from a certain minority of them is okay.
