I know. That is exactly what I am saying (although you say it more articulately than I do). After every election some former aide for the losing candidate says dont shut the door!!!!!! It is the same nothing burger every four years.

In fact, the only time in my life it wasnt a nothing burger was 2020, because we all knew Trump was going to run again as long as his cult continued their unthinking devotion.
