Our food definitely sucks but I think our over reliance on cars certainly doesn't help. And it's done so much damage that I'm not sure it's really reversible.

It was super cool being able to walk everywhere in Japan and I think that significantly helped me lose a bunch of weight while I was over there (along with just being really convenient). But now I'm back in America and my town barely even has sidewalks and everything's spread so far that walking is annoyingly unfeasible. The US has basically designed itself into a fat corner.
I would do that too, in order to save money on gas, but my work consists of going to several buildings around town and cleaning the place with the other employees. I wouldn't be able to be on time without a car.
