Nixon had some good policies, corrupt as he was. If Nixon gets props for seeking detente with the USSR then Reagan has MR. GORBACHEV, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL! Heck Bush, Sr. being better than Reagan is a thing. Based on election victories and approval rating Reagan was the most successful POTUS since Eisenhower.
