AstroBot posted... Honestly? No I havent. I mean Im black. I grew up in a ghetto, Salem NJ. Nobody cared about politics or hot button issues beyond black people getting unfairly targeted by cops or crime from the local drug dealers.
Im not at all saying my experience is the norm, or thats how everybody feels. Im just saying what I experienced. Mom busted her butt to raise me by herself. She held no false convictions that a president was gonna swoop in and save the day for us or anybody else. Or that things would deteriorate further for us if a different president didnt get in. Who has time for that when youre working your butt off just to make ends meet?
Like I said, we cared about black people being unfairly targeted by cops to the extent of how it would affect us personally, but nobody thought for one second that we could change the system. If Im being honest, even now I dont believe Kamala could have changed a darn thing.
Fair enough, I appreciate you sharing.
