Technically Roy was in the first localized game. He makes a cameo at the end as a child.

They actually removed this whole epilogue in the European version of the game. Roy only gets a reference in some of Eliwoods endings there. I guess once they knew they definitely werent going to bring over Binding Blade, they decided to remove it to avoid confusion.

So Binding Blade was the first game I ever used a fan translation for, was super cool to play it when that came out. However, given that we got Blazing Blade (great subtitle, and once again used officially in the Nintendo Music app lol) first it would have been quite the step backwards to get this one after. It did handle the branching parts of the campaign better though. Glad I played it but the weakest of the three GBA Fire Emblems.
