Thing is I don't recall Trump outright saying something akin to, "Hillary/Biden/Harris supporters are garbage." He's said things like "there's some radical left garbage in this country" or "people of this group that I totally helped not voting for me need their heads examimed" or "these cities are hellholes" but while those are similarly offensive statements they target a lower raw amount of people, so the pushback is lessened.

Basically he gets away with it by leveraging dog whistles and attacking smaller segments of the population.
