I hate the circumstances that have led to him being a political figurehead, I hate the movements he is figure heading, I hate the vampiric caste of ancient rich dudes that have rallied behind him

But the man himself? No. I don't think I do. He's a belligerent idiot but so are a great many people, most of whom I doubt would behave any differently in that position. I believe he says what he thinks his audience will like, at the urging of his handlers and creditors, and unfortunately his audience consists of similarly belligerent idiots.

Contrast Vance who I do actually dislike and find repugnant as opposed to "oh, that's just an old, dumb guy doing old, dumb things because he has gotten to be old and dumb for a long, long time"
