Rules:

  1. Rate each character on a scale from 1 to 10 with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest. Anything above 10 gets rounded down to a 10, and anything below a 1 gets rounded up to a 1.
  2. Anything beyond one decimal point will be rounded accordingly: .04 and below will be rounded down, .05 and up will be rounded up.
  3. You may grade on any criteria you like.
  4. Consider the character's appearances throughout the entire Ace Attorney series.
  5. You can rate characters from previous topics if you miss a topic.
  6. On a day with multiple characters, clearly label which rating applies to which characters.
  7. On a day with multiple characters, you may skip a character to rate.
  8. Pretty much every character from Ace Attorney will be rated. The schedule will go in chronological game order in the West (with AAI2 being right after AAI just for consistency). When a character debuts and gets a major speaking role, they will show up (so Trucy appearing for a moment in 4-1 doesn't count as a 4-1 character). Major characters get their own day and minor characters are all ranked at once. All extremely minor characters (background, animals, mascots, and jury) will be rated on the final day.
  9. The "roles" listed are: Defense, Rival, Assistant, Detective, Judge, Victim, Defendant, Culprit, Witness, Background, Animal, Mascot, Jury. Sorry, I'm not pointing out accomplices.

Previous Day's Ratings:

Enoch Drebber - 8.9 (9 votes)
Esmeralda Tusspells - 7.2 (9 votes)
Albert Harebrayne - 7.1 (9 votes)
Courtney Sithe - 5.3 (9 votes)
Gotts - 4.4 (9 votes)
Balthazar Lune - 4.3 (9 votes)
Odie Asman - 3.5 (7 votes)

Drebber barely misses the top 10, which is still a great result for a one-case character. Tusspells and Harebrayne also do well. Sithe goes just above average, with many expressing disappointment in her small screentime for a big role. Gotts and Lune do just about what the other more cartoon-y GAA witnesses do. Asman does just fine for a victim.

My ratings:

Evie: 2.7
Daley: 7.5
Caidin: 5.5
Venus: 4
de Rousseau: 6.5
de Rossi: 6.5
Gorey: 6.7

I wouldn't normally do Evie, but she has a profile in the Court Record and you speak to her. She's...there. I do like her design. The G2-3 jury designs tend to be a bit less cartoon-y and I think that fits the vibe more.

Daley's great! He's fun as Gossip, but once you expose him and have him re-live his trauma, it's pretty effective. He has a good role in G2-5 too.

Caidin's fine. A bit plain, but he's a good counter to Daley on the stand.

Venus is carried by her design. I like the Espella-esque look. Not much aside from that.

The Red-Headed League is a bit weaker to the Skulkin Brothers, but I still like them. I actually like both characters just enough for different reasons. de Rossi can be a bit much at times, but I do like his more energized animations.

Gorey's good! That said, I think she could have been really great if we got more Sithe time. They seem to be going for a big misdirection on the nature of Gorey's character and, well, it just doesn't have any time to cook.
