That stupid little makeshift podium where he is literally building a platform to campaign on from the wreckage of real people's suffering is so on-the-nose that if it showed up in a satire people would balk at the lack of subtlety, and yet there he is without any irony.

I know that he has no self-awareness, and I know that he is surrounded by the absolute lowest common denominators, but surely even the covfefe boy could have seen what bad optics that is.
