| Topic | A mother pleads with the school board to do something about her son's bullying |

Discouraged by school administrators from interfering even when they see blatant bullying and the school administrators and school boards just would rather avoid getting caught up in any situation, especially if the bullying itself is sourced from racism, homophobia or any other bigoted source Truer words have never been spoken. It's a shitty situation all around. It's also tough because even as a school, what can you really do about it? About the only thing a school can do in order to discipline a kid would be to give them a detention or a suspension. A suspension is oftentimes more work because now the school has to arrange for private home instruction for the kid so that the kid doesn't fall behind. That's *more money* that the school has to spend. Schools are run similar to corporations - they have leaders that are worried about the bottom line - so a lot of times, they just don't do anything about it. --- Not changing this sig until the Knicks win the NBA Championship!
