I found this strange as well. Every time I saw a card that gives pips to the left or does damage to the left I'm like... welp, this is completely useless unless I'm doing a dumb destroy your own cards deck.

I really enjoy Queen's Blood, but after the first couple chapters, like 90% of the cards you get are focused around making destroy decks so I wish there was a bit more variety in that.
