While private businesses are not legally obligated to serve you in English, that's not the case with healthcare and other public services. You have the right to be served in English there. The opposite is true in all other provinces. Whenever I cross the border to Ontario, I always speak French at the hospital. It's only at restaurants and stores that I sometimes have to speak English. There are plenty of anglophone communities in my province. Depending on where you go, it should be easy to get served in English even at private businesses.
