They live in fear that were this to come to pass, they'd be living in the conditions that they've inflicted upon the Palestinians within Israel. I agree. I truly do. And it's best to not stoke that paranoia by reminding them of past violent situations that were enacted upon them (2nd intifada). It's paranoia and it's not rationale, but you ultimately need to work with these people because there's no other choice.
