The problem for me was that so many of Black/White's Pokemon were conceptually similar enough to Gen 1's Pokedex that it kind of felt like they were trying to reboot the franchise entirely And i loved it for that. It was a big risk to live and die solely on entirely new pokmon. You had no choice but to play with a brand new team instead of falling back to old favorites.
