(based on the video game)

It had its good moments but ultimately devolved into bootleg muscleman hit muscleman and felt like a fanfiction.

Superhero universe combinations feel like a pander rather than good story telling. There's no reason Batman and Starfire (or the 20 other magical goofballs running around) need to exist in the same universe. It's like mixing spaghetti with M&Ms.

Superman is, as always, one of the most underrated and well developed characters in comics. They did the political story very well, superman started by doing something your average person might do, overthrowing dictators, telling the world no more war, but then realized that he was too spread thin to enforce that, so he started forming his own government (but what money superman from where), which was fascist. Idk if it would have devolved into fascism immediately just like that, but yeah I can see that happening. (they even called out Israel/Palestine specifically, lol.)

Batman is still kind of dickweed for not killing the Joker, but cut him some slack, it's not a plothole because DC Joker is obviously too popular to kill, he was actually right all along... You obviously can't kill anyone ever for any reason or you yourself will become a serial killer...
