I actually think comedies nowadays have only gotten better in the sense that there are an even wider variety of different and even newer kinds of comedy. More Comedies that's for a smaller niche audiences. Also the ones I want to watch and interest me are more easily accessible. Back in the 90's and older, all you had for comedy series is what was on TV. No internet until the late nineties and the streaming services starting with YouTube didn't come to until around the mid 2000's.

This sounds bitter old man nonsense, who doesn't understand today's entertainment industry.
