I can make one of my doors in my house do it all the time if not properly closed. Oh, yeah, this will do it, too. Make sure you don't have a partially open or faulty window (easiest way to determine this is by looking at all window sashes for crookedness. If the sash is not parallel to the window stop/jamb/frame, then you have a faulty window. You may or not be able to reposition it to its proper alignment. If you are unable to do this, then you may need a new window. Another cause is if one of the outer panes broke and had to be removed. We have that problem. Fixed it with a buttload of clear packing tape *less of an eyesore than duct tape*) An easier method of determining whether this is the case is to listen for a sound of a closing/slamming door or window followed by shaking or vibration of the house when someone opens a door or it is very windy outside. This of course will not tell you which window is faulty. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
