If they kill the boards too soon they know they'll lose users and thus lose money. So they're taking it slow, trimming off the fat, and bidding their time. Every board is on the chopping block, it's just a question of when. For the record this is what Fandom does, they kill sites and move on to the next, as well as resort to AI to fill in guides which give players misinformation.
