Neither the topic title or article are incorrect, however, you are incorrect here. Abbott does not support trans people and considers women who are trans to be a man in a dress. He does not distinguish between trans and GNC behavior, as a conservative politician, and this is an attack on trans rights.
I never said he supports them. I even said in multiple ways that he doesnt, and how this attack against a crossdressing teacher could be used against transgender people.

Any law that could be used against transgender people is a law that should not existBut the quote from Abbott, while it could apply to a transgender individual, is specifically referencing a man dressed as a woman. So the topic title and article are incorrect in fact, but a warning of what could come in principle.

Thank you for sharing regardless, whether blatant or subversive, bigotry should be called out.
But his quote was still specifically about a non-transgender individual. That makes the article and topic title incorrect. You cant pretend he made genocidal comments he didnt about a group not involved just because you (perhaps accurately) believe he feels that way.

His stance is wrong, his beliefs are wrong, and overall the Texas legislature has done a lot wrong lately. You have the moral high ground as long as you maintain your integrity.

Edit: I dont want to argue this any more either, because Abbott doesnt deserve to be defended. I would like to stick to the facts available, but your posturing is making it a debate against you, which is the last thing I want. Ive said my piece, and Im going to leave it at that.
