The threat doesn't hold a lot of water given if Biden doesn't win, their situation isn't going to be magically better under Trump. It will literally be worse. Hence their forethought isn't beyond 5 seconds. It's the same logic as those who stayed home in 2016 that leaned left, but surprised Affirmative Action and Roe v Wade was overturned.
