I went from not speaking to speaking too much to having some kinda emotional trauma that made me not speak to people again and now Im quiet but more willing to try talking with people. I used to be concerned people looked at me weird with how different I behaved at points in time but its best to not stick to bad habits just so you can be seen as a consistent person whether its a good or bad look cos trying and testing out new things outside your comfort zone helps you learn how to respond to more things and gives you a stronger perspective. Try behaving like a person you look up to and see if that works out.
Im talking from what helped me a ton mentally so it might not be true for you
