TopicAre all those low empathy, rigid posters on Reddit reflective of real life?

Like, whenever someone asks a question about relationships, there is an endless stream of "break up with them!", "huge red flag!", or my favorite "if X ever expressed Y or Z, I'd laugh in their face and the relationship and it'd be over!". And then there is the inverse "why is it so hard to date" posts. You have to wade through like 500 posts to find one with no upvotes where someone sounds like a human being. According to Reddit, it seems like a poster's opinion is fact, only they get to have emotions, and only they decide what happens around themselves. Everyone else just needs to deal with it! Also, why can't I ever express my feelings?!!!

I feel certain most of these people must be a mix of assholes and dissatisfied people who wish they had more control over their lives and other people, who in turn feel reassured when they see other posting the same types of things.
