In fairness, that viewpoint comes about from studying every horrific and awful thing the US has done since WW2 in it's quest to kill anything that might resemble a better world for workers rather than corporations. And boy howdy have we done that alot.

Now that being said, the problem is that people get that box ticked that says "American foreign policy bad and usually justified by lies" and confuse it by making this leap to"that means everyone on the other side of US foreign is good".

The reality of it is, yes, the US is usually on the wrong side of this shit, but no that doesn't mean those on the recieving are good.

That also being said, a ton of the problems in that region are due to western fuckery. You ever wonder why the Kurds are minorities in like 5 different countries with no state of their own? Because the idiot Westerners that the redrew the borders after the WW1 ended didn't understand or give a shit about the people in the borders they drew. They cared about what they could get for themselves.

Iran is a perfect example of this. For decades we propped up a murderous dictator there. His opposition were mostly left leaning people who wanted less foreign interests involved in their oil industry, so we helped repress and kill them. So then when things got to the point where we couldn't control the situation anymore it was the religious fundamentalists who were the only ones with organizational capacity to actually lead a revolution.

Everhthing is a shitshow over there, but it's a shitshow we created.
Thank you. Not many people understand history and how much western influence is the cause of middle East of today. But those that don't study it only look at today as if they are not complacent of their own.

It doesn't mean we can condone the actions and people of the past are to blame. But western powers are seen as hypocrites in those regions because the generations that grew up there have had to live with that constant interference in their lives. US doesn't have a favourably good view.

Above all things, never be afraid. The enemy who forces you to retreat is himself afraid of you at that very moment.
