Is it immoral to engage in self-pleasure of a sexual nature?

So long as you're not victimizing someone else in the course of your self-pleasure, ie non-consensual voyeurism of someone bathing or engaging in their own self--pleasure, then no.

Even from the "made in the image of, or by, God" perspective, I don't think an intelligent designer would design the human body to feel pleasure and then want to make it inherently immoral or punishable unless they were a cruel and unjust God unworthy of worship.
