But his cult latched on to things like "It's a democrat hoax designed to make me look bad" he said on top of all the other shit he said. His cult and antivaxxers didn't need anything more than that to be said and still repeat their idiocy. And it kept going on as hospitals were filling up and people were dying. Trump, his cult, and antivaxxers made it a goal that any quarantine attempts failed and were instrumental in it getting as bad as it did.
