do you really save a lot of money though?I pay NZ$35/mo for my cellphone, primarily for the unlimited data, with unlimited calls being a bonus. Receiving calls is free here, not that I use calls in either direction much. A landline (which on a technical level, would go through the cell towers anyway where I currently am, so no redundancy benefit) would only be $10/mo with unlimited calls to landlines, but I already have everything it offers (with the benefit of portability) from my cellphone. Plus, there's the one off cost of buying a handset for it. If I didn't have or want a cellphone, sure, it might be worth getting a landline at that price. But there's zero reason to switch or to get both. --- Do, or do not. There is no Trumble. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
